Flowers, & Kayaking Jug Bay, & then more flowers : While waiting to go kayaking I killed time by photographing Ondraedan's sister's garden. Then we kayaked Jug Bay with sis and my niece. Then back to unload, so more pictures of flowers. While doing this I found half the world's missing bees. They're hanging out in the safety of sis's garden!

Beavers Invade Suburbia! Jan 1, 2008 : Two days ago I was stopped during my run by a tree down and water that was much higher than normal over the foot bridge. I noted the tree had been dropped by beavers. I brought Ondraedan back today and we followed the stream until we located the dam. They've made quite the construct. The number of trees they've downed is impressive. Their reservoir is at least 200 yards long. If the park service does nothing it will back up further. Much of the stream valley will go under.

Beavers Invade Suburbia! Feb 10, 2008 : These are photos of the same beaver area as Jan 1st. Ondraedan took all of these. I decided against my camera as took our pups along. We took the boy along this time. He was really amazed by the technical skills the beavers showed in maintaining their dam.
